In this guide, we let you know how to set up an online store using WooCommerce with WooVina Theme.

Before we start with Step 1, you need to make sure you have a WordPress website running on a hosted server. If you do not have it, you can get one domain name and web hosting server from SiteGround.

Scenario A: Sign Up SiteGround WooCommerce Hosting

SiteGround has a StartUp Plan for WooCommerce hosting from $3.95/month. You can create an online store website with 10 GB of web space provided. This StartUp hosting plan is able to support up to 10,000 visits per month. It is a good deal for a startup or small business. In addition, you can get the Free SSL & HTTPS, Free email accounts, Free CloudFlare CDM, Free Daily Backups, Unmetered Traffic, Unlimited MySQL and 24/7 Technical Support.

After signing up, use SiteGround’s click-and-install Getting Started Wizard to automatically install the WordPress with WooCommerce plugin.

Scenario B: You have a WordPress website

Considering you have a WordPress site running to promote your business and products. You can set up WooCommerce for your business using the following steps:

  1. Install WooCommerce plugin
  2. Setup WooVina Theme
  3. Import WooVina Demo

Step 1: Install WooCommerce Plugin

  • Log into WordPress Dashboard.
  • Go to Plugins > Add New
  • Search for WooCommerce
  • Install and activate WooCommerce
  • Set up the WooCommerce by filling up your Store information > Payment method > Shipping Charges > MailChimp Installation (Optional but recommended) > Jetpack Installation (Optional) > Ready!

MailChimp is a plugin that allows your visitors to subscribe to your newsletter. You can create a good looking opt-in or pop up form that turns your visitors into subscribers and keeps that in a proper list on MailChimp website.

Jetpack is a plugin that protects your store from unauthorized access, give you insights on your store performance, including total sales and top products, alert you if your store is down and share your products on social media once they are live in your store.

Step 2: Setup WooVina Theme

To install WooVina Theme, you need to visit WooVina website and download the suitable Child Theme for your online store. If you are opening a fashion related online store, you can try the Mimosa Child Theme.

For the preparation, you need to download the following files

  • WooVina Theme – woovina.zip
  • Mimosa Theme – mimosa.zip

After you have downloaded the files, go to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme > Upload both download files woovina.zip and mimosa.zip.

After that, go to the Themes and activate the Mimosa Themes. Once the theme has been activated, try to refresh your Dashboard, you can see the Theme Panel option appears in the sidebar now.

Step 3: Import WooVina Demo

Before we start to import the WooVina demo files, we need to increase the WordPress system’s maximum file upload size limit, memory limit, and maximum execution time and maximum input file.

To do this you need to add the following codes into your .htaccess file located on your server. You can access this file using the File Manager from your server’s cpanel.

NOTE: DO NOT EDIT OTHER PARTS OF .htaccess FILE (HIGH RISK WARNING)

php_value upload_max_filesize 8M
php_value post_max_size 8M
php_value memory_limit 128M
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value max_input_time 300

Save the changes and go back to your WordPress Dashboard.

Go to Theme Panel > Install Demos > Choose the Demo you wants.

For example, we chose Demo 04, and once it was clicked, a pop-up message appeared and requested to install the plugins required. In this case, please install and activate all the plugins required.

After the plugins have been installed, you can proceed to import the demo. An Import checklist will appear, just check all options and wait for them to be imported to the system. The importing process will take around 1-2 minutes.

Final Step

After the demo import, you can edit the front site using the Elementor page builder. You need to install this Elementor plugin if you do not have it earlier.

You can further customize the WooCommerce site by looking into the WooCommerce Settings, especially for the payment and shipping part. Furthermore, you can customize other sections through the Appearance > Customization.

Once you are satisfied with the result, go to the Products, delete the imported demo products and start adding yours. Finally, Test your site and make sure everything is ready before you officially launch your online store!

To unlock the Premium plugins and remove the theme copyright, you can purchase the Child Them from $29 for 1 website.
